To the entrance in the program the following help subjects are recommended: the installation describes the first steps to the program use. Under the menu structure you find the explanations to the separate menu points.
Indications to additional information, Beispielskripte and complete addition programs are to be found under links for information and help to the hamster.
You find important changes between the hamster program versions under version information (, an exact listing of the changes is under "changes.txt" or ". Aenderungen.txt to find " in the hamster's catalogue).
To automate activities, a script language is inserted and out of the hamster-Skripte version 2 (*.hsc) is still supported the older hamster-Skripte version 1 (*.hsc) by the program.
If this possibility does not reach(be enough), fitting programme objects are available for the access from Perl, VB-script, Delphi or other Windows-computer languages. On the one hand the hamster-Event-Objekte (Win32) and the hamster-Mutex-Objekte (Win32), but first of all also the OLE-interface for the other programs which contain practically all relevant hamster's-functions of the inserted script language.
You find information to the construction of the hamster's catalogue under files and catalogues. For special configuration files there are still the help subjects file: IPAccess.hst (
accesses to hamster on the basis of the IP regulate), file: Scores.hst (score / killfile for detailed news articles), file: MailFilt.hst (score / killfile for detailed mails), file: Hamster.ini (the hamster's-attitudes which are contained only partly in the configuration menus) and file: Server.ini (for Server-specific attitudes(settings)).A listing of possible mistake messages - sorts according to mistake areas - you find under mistake codes and mistake messages. Frequently appearing questions are explained in the section FAQ's.
