Hamster-Mutex-objects (Win32)

The Mutex-object " mutexHamster. App. * " is used to prevent the simultaneous start of several authorities of the hamster from the one and same catalogue out.

The Mutex-object designated on the bases of the current hamster's-catalogue is closed, as long as the first authority of the concerning hamster starts, and it is released again if this authority is finished.

One can state on the bases of this object also from programs from whether the hamster is active.

Format:

" MutexHamster. Ext. " + (Hamster.exe incl. full path information)

The letters of the path and program name are converted in small letter. All special characters are replaced with the underlined "_".

Examples:

Program: C:\Program Files\News\Hamster.exe

Mutex-name: MutexHamster. App.c __ program_files_news_hamster_exe

Program: \\ Server\C $\News\Hamster.exe

Mutex-name: MutexHamster. Ext. __ server_c __ news_hamster_exe
